'Sep'tember 141 1978 REPORT OF CONTROLLED COMPACTED FILL':., PROJECT: Mobile Home Pad Kelly Ridge Estates Lot 196., Unit 4B Bravo Re: 78551 GENERAL Compacted fill was placed*to provide a.level-b�uilding site. The maximum depth of compacted fill is about four feet. This report concerns only the placing -of ciompacted. fill and is not intended as a soils -investigation. DESCRIPTION OF FILL Prior to placement of compacted fill, the area to receive fill. was cleared of weeds and debris. The material used for the fill was obtained from the site and consisted of silty sand. Fill was placed in -loose layers about six inches in thickness and compacted by track rolling. Water was' placed on the completed portion of the fill before the placementof additional ,fill. The approximate extent of the grading is shown -on theattached drawing "Location of Density -Tests". The relative density.of the fill was determined from the compaction testa Where tests indicate insufficient compaction the fill was removed, replaced in six inch layers and compacted to the.required density. The locations of the density tests are shown on the attached drawing. The results of the tests are given on the table •'Summary of T,es ts!' . CONCLUSIONS Based on intermittent observation, it is concluded that the fill was placed in an orderly and efficient manner, that the field density tests are representative of the fill placed, and that all portions of the fill are compacted to at least 90% of the maximum density, in accordance with the requirements. of the '.
