Before you begin assembly or cutting, please read all instructions and make sure you
have all materials specified on the outside of the package.
CUTTING LAYOUT FOR 12' GAZEBO
Step 1: TRACE AND CUT ALL PARTS
A. Lay out and mark all parts. Refer to cutting layout, type, and size of material required
for each part. As you mark it, number each part on the wood itself. Make sure that you
lay out all pieces on each board before cutting, to avoid being too short.
B. After marking hole locations from the template, use a nail or centerpunch and punch
the center of each hole before driling holes. This will keep the drill from wandering off
location.
Cut stock and drill all holes: refer to instruction on cutting list.

A. At point Eon the floor joist, place the 2" x 8" - 3' centered to
stud. Now lay the 2" x 6" - 6' behind the stud and centered using
template #21. Mark, cut out, and slide 2" x 6" - 6' into place.

C. Now take a 2" x 6" - 10' and lay it against studs F & D centered
to the building with equal end extending past the floorjoist using
template #23. Mark and cut off both ends. Slide center piece in
from the other side. Some trimming may be necessary. Next
take the ends and using template #21.
Mark as shown. Cut out and slide into place.
D. Lay 2-2" x 6" -10' and 4-2" x 6" -12' into place as shown. Now
place a 2" x 6" - 12' against studs G & C. Mark, cut, and slide
into place using template #20. Repeat proceedure on other
side of floor. Next make sure you have approximately 1" over-
hang on all floor boards. You can space out 2" x 6" to leave
equal spacing on floor. Nail in place using 3 #16d galvanized
nails on every joist. Mark a line around the building leaving
approximately 1- overhang beyond the box joist and cut off
excess..

STEP 12: INSTALL ROOFING
A. Start by finding the center of a roof panel, if you don't have a•
tape measure you can simply use a stick cut to the width of the
panel. Mark where you believe center to be and reverse stick
. to see if'its correct. Adjust accordingly. Once you have
established and marked a center line from the bottom to We 6
peak, move over 6" and mark another line.

B. Cut the tabs off two shingles. Turn upside down so seal is
toward the bottom and nail in place with 3/4" galvanized roof
nails. Make sure to leave 1/8" overhang below the metal eave
drip. Cut back ends.

C. Place two full shingles on the center line as shown. Trim off
ends and nail in place. Proceedup the roof with the next full W
shingles starting at the work line. Alternate until you have i

D. At the peak cut shingle to fill top as shown and nail in place.
E. Install cap by cutting shingle into three pieces as shown. Start
at the bottom and work up leaving approximately 5" exposure.
You will need to cut and shape the size of the cap down as you
reach the peak. It is better to do the last three foot of cap on all
runs at the same time. This will. keep the cap even all the way
around.

F. Make an octagon cap out of one tab and nail on the peak. For
the finish top piece.
