Box 473 Feather Falls, Ca 95940 532-1039 December 23, 1991 The following work is to be performed by licensed contractors and/or the homeowner for the purpose of bringing the subject property, which has been found to be substandard, into compliance with local housing/building codes and regulations. The contractor or owner, in the case of an owner performing his/her own work, shall be responsible for determining the applicable code requirements and for performing work in compliance therewith. Estimates shall be based only on the work specified in this work write- up. Contractors discovering or suspecting an error or omission in either this write-up or plans (when applicable) shall promptly report to the Housing Rehabilitation Consultant (916-456-4784) so that items in question may be investigated for possible addition to required work. - - WE 4 i I VMWZRXIMIG All work must be performed in compliance with published "grades and standards". Materials must match, be of equivalent quality, or exceed those published on "materials list". If not listed, "medium grade" should be assumed. Owner's preference for style and col.or should be followed wherever possible. Allowances, when listed, are guidelines for purchases. All items purchased as "allowances" must be approved by the homeowner. Any measurements and drawings attached hereto are to be considered approximations unless otherwise stated. The responsibility for determining the exactness of structural measurements and other specifications shall be that of the contractor and shall be a condition implicit in all bid or proposal submittals. 1 HOUSING REPAIR PROGRAM - WORK WRITE-UP - � i Y A copy of the building permit will be required BEFORE construction begins and shall be provided by the contractor. The contractor will secure all necessary permits to complete the entire project and must submit to the local entity a signed -off building permit at the completion of the project. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ASCERTAIN,"OBTAIN, AND MAINTAIN RECORDS OF ALL REQUIRED PERMITS. $ 250 4' : Provide dumpster service or daily removal of construction debris for duration of contract. Premises to be left in a broom clean condition on a daily basis. Provide and install electric service to poles and wires. This work to be done to P do all engineering for the project. P.G.& E to is a 400' allowance and the $ 23,144 Provide and install main service entry panel with 100 amp CB main service in a rain -tight entrance panel box, (Crouse -Hinds 3C -002 -AR or any approved equal). Reuse existing weather head/periscope if appropriate or provide new one if needed. Service feeds to meet all current local and national electrical codes for replacements. Reconnect existing circuits to new panel. Balance loads for existing circuits. New circuits: GFCI breaker of the same ampacity on circuits feeding the bathrooms, kitchen counter outlets, one in garage, one in laundry, and any exterior outlets; a 20 amp circuit breaker for the laundry outlets one 30 amp (240V) for the water heater; one 50 amp (240V) for the stove; four 15 amp (120V) lights/general purpose; three 20 AMP (120V) dedicated for kitchen; one 20 amp (120V) general purpose outlet circuit; two blank spaces. Provide and install No. 8 bare copper hard drawn ground wire from the grounding terminal of the service entrance box and fastened to the street side of the metallic water service pipe and to a rod 1/2" x 8' copper ground set 1" above grade. Use a bronze grounding clamp. Ground wire must be in conduit where exposed to any external damage. All piping to be secured with approved fastener, at intervals specified in UPC. NOTE: WHERE VERTICALS ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE INSTALL A DIALETIC CONNECTOR BETWEEN THE NEW COPPER AND EXISTING RISERS. (LOCATION: Bathroom ) $ 50 5. CARPENTRY - REQUIRED CODE RELATED TTFMS a. Rear stair system: Install two new entry wood stairway. Stairs shall have treads no less than 9" and risers no more than 8" with maximum 1/4" variance top to bottom. Stairs shall have two side stringers of DF#2 or better and any open side of stairway shall have a handrail as per code. Stairways between walls shall have a 1-1/2" diameter handrail mounted at 32" height, with appropriate brackets. New stairs to be set with galvanized fasteners. Support pieces to be of a size to adequately carry the loads designated by code requirements for this installation. NOTE: CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE PLANS FOR THIS INSTALLATION. $ 250 b. Handrails: Provide and install a 2"x4" wood railing (36"/42" high). Install railings at least 1-1/4" from the wall. Individual balusters may not exceed 6" on center. (LOCATION: Interior Stairs, Upper Deck ) NOTE: ALL STAIRS OVER 3 STEPS MUST HAVE A HAND RAIL NO GREATER. THAN 1-1/2" THICK SET AT- MIN 30" FROM STEP LEVEL; CONTINUOUS ON ALL FLIGHTS WITH RETURNS AT TOP AND BOTTOM TERMINALS. $ 250 C.
