Dell 15041 Lynn Avenue Los Gatos, California 95030 Re:' Rental unit, -Rocky Point Road Oroville , AP# '?1-30-222 Dear Mr. Dell: This.d.epartment has received a complaint alleging health and safety hazards existing in a dwelling unit at the above listed location. The Butte County Assessor's records indicate you are the owner of the property. On. October 31, 1980 I visited the property and found the house'vacant. The complaint alleges the roof leaks, there are no approved. heating facilities; there is no sewage disposal facility, and electrical wiring is unsafe. I did not enter the structure, an exterior inspection revealed plastic sheeting on.the roof to deflect rain water. In addition no plumbing vents were observed, the stove pipe (heater?) did not appear to be a proper installation. A search of the Butte County Department of Public Works, and the Department o_f Public Health records did not reveal any building, plumbing, electrical or septic tank permits for the structure. A septic tank permit application was found for a sewage system to serve a ;nob_'Llehome . From exterior, observations, the bullding does not appear to provide pl-otecti on r'rom -the elements t;o any person occupying the structure, and plumbing and heating facilities probably do not comply with appl:Lcable-codes. Therefore, I am directing this.letter to ,you as an. offf:,-cial notice, advising you not to permit occupancy or re -occupancy ois ...Ile structure until such time as all required repairs are made under permit and _'inspection and the structure is approved as safe for human habitation. Please contact the undersigned and Nlr. Jim Glander, Butte County Department of Plibli c Works,-? County Center Drive, Oroville , California 959��5, Telephone (916) 534-4541 for a complete inspection of the dwelling prior to any .repairs being carried out. Robert Dell ontinued Please be advised that your property is zoned FR -10 and as such only one dwelling unit is permitted. At the time of my inspection a mobilehome was observed on the site, apparently connected to the sewage disposal system serving the house,'and with water and propane gas service. This condition is a violation of the Butte County Zoning Ordinance. The mobilehome can only be stored on the property and -all utility and sewage connections shall be disconnected or the mobilehome shall be removed.
