1. Lateral design must be per UBC Chapters 23 and 24, and must result in a
structural system which provides a complete load path capable of transferring
all loads and forces from their .point of origin to their .load -resisting
elements.
Design is to include all required connections and appropriate construction
details for shear transfer from roof diaphragm to foundation.
Design is to indicate exposure B or C required by UBC Section 2311 (c), method
I or 2 as required by UBC Section 2311 (e), and is to include design pressure,
p, as requied per UBC Section 2311 (d).
Holdowns and other anchorage must comply with manufacturers specifications
for end and edge distance, embedments, and other requirements as listed. PAHD45
is not a listed holdown.
Design is to include diaphragm chords as required per UBC Section 2513 (e).
2. The submitted lateral design is incomplete. Wall shear in the transverse
direction is incorrect. T1-11 siding is inadequate at first floor, 24' walls.
3. Provide calculations which justify that MAS anchor is equivalent to 3/4" anchor
bolts at 4' on center.
4. All engineering requirements of calculations are to be clearly shown on the
plans.
