With reference to the above subject and your letter dated March 25, 1986,
concerning the storage building you have constructed on your property on
Forbestown Road, the only exempt buildings are agricultural buildings or
120 sq. ft. (maximum) storage buildings.
Our Building Inspector advises the building is a small cabin about 240 sq.
ft. in size with open deck and new addition under construction of approx-
imately 192 sq. ft. in size.
If you are using the building as you indicate in your letter, you are in
violation of the provisions of the Butte County Code which requires building
permits, inspections and approvals from this office and water supply and
sewage disposal systems and approvals from the Health Department.
I suggest you abandon the use of the building and cease construction until
such time as you can afford to obtain the proper permits and pay the appro-
priate fees.
Please advise me of your decision so we can decide how to resolve -'this prob-
lem in a timely manner.

This is a warning letter to notif y you that you are in violation of the
Butte County Code at the above referenced location as follows:
Constructed a 240 sq. ft. cabin and deck without permits and approvals
from this office. The first violation notice was sent to you in 1986.
Since permits and inspections are required for the above work, please contact
this office within ten days of the date of this letter, submit two complete
sets of plans, apply for the required permits, and pay the appropriate fees.
All work must stop until these permits are issued and you are authorized
by our field inspector to proceed. This field authorization cannot be made
until the existing work is inspected and approved.
Please be aware that Butte County has en tered into a Code Enforcem ent Program
that seeks voluntary compliance with the Butte County Code but provides
an effective means of enforcement if such compliance is not obtained. If
voluntary' compliance- is not obtained, enforcement will be pursued through
the issuance of citations, fines, and the recording of a Notice of Violation.
Your cooperation in resolving this matter would be appreciated. Should
