With reference to the above subject, our records indicate that your building
permit expires on the above date and your permit falls into the category marked
below:
mPermit work started, but not completed. Permit may be renewed for 2 the
original' building permit fee (plus a $2D.00 filing fee). The renewal
permit will extend the building permit for an additional year from the
original expiration date. Should you not renew your permit within 30
days of the expiration date, all work must cease until a new building
permit has been issued. For your convenience, we are enclosing a renewal
application form and owner -builder form to'be completed and signed by
you where indicated and returned to this office together with the fee
shown. Please return all copies of the application form.
I1 No inspections have been made on permit work. Inspections are required
to verify code compliance. We are unable to renew a permit where \the
work has not been started and inspected prior to permit expiration.
After expiration of your permit, no work may be started until a new permit
has been issued.

When I received your letter dated September 30,' 1986, I called your
office and talked to Dale. He told me to write everything I told him
in a letter. `
Before we bought our place on Harry Lane, we went and checked the zoning
for the area to see if we could do what we had in mind to do. We were
told among other things it was zoned recreational. We were told this
means we could camp on our place up to five days a month. This fit
our needs very well.
We work for the Plumas National Forest out•of Susanville. We planned
to use our little trailer to sleep in when we come down to work on our
property. We try to come down about one weekend a month.
Our plans are to put in a well, (this has been completed) put in a sewer
system hopefully in November, put in a power pole, a garage, and then a
nice home. We project this to take about five yt�8unless we get
transferred to Oroville sooner than that. A very important part of

The trailer is not connected to anything like water, power, etc. It is
not "installeV ,.but it is stored on our property when not in use to'
sleep in.
We are applying for permits as we need them. We have gotten our well
permit and sewer permit. We are planning to come by on October 13, 1986
and apply for a power pole permit. At this time I would like to talk
with you and if we need other permits that I don't.know about, we would
apply for them. We will be working with your office over the next few
years, and I don't want to get started on the wrong foot. ra

With reference to the above subject, we have been advised by one of our
building inspectors that you have not obtained the required permits and
inspections from this office for the work you are doing as follows:
Installed a travel trailer on your property located off Harry
Lane, Oroville.
Since. permits and inspections are. required by both State and County laws,
please contact this office within ten days of the date of this letter, submit
two complete sets of plans, apply for the required permits, and pay the
appropriate fees.
All work must stop until you obtain these permits and are authorized by
our field inspector to proceed. This field authorization cannot be made
until the existing work is inspected and approved.

Dear David:
This letter is a follow up to our visit with you on Friday, October 9, 1992
regarding our property on 89 Harry Lane, Orovi Ile.
As per your advice to us, this is an outline of what our plans are:
1. Wood burning stove in existing structure: We are currently shopping
for a wood burning stove that meets EPA and Butte County
requirements and plan to purchase and install one immediately. We
will give you a copy of the stove specifications.
2. We have decided to purchase a permit for a sewage hook up for our
travel trailer.
3. When ready, I will call for an inspection. At the time of the -inspection
for the sewage hook up, the garage could be inspected at the same time
to certify that it is not being used as a residence.

I will be retiring the end of calendar year 1992. Upon my retirement, I
will move to 4roville and my plans are to begin construction of our home.
In order to accomplish this, I plan to purchase a permit and pay all the
required fees, etc. around February/March 1993.
