Discussion-
Specific environmental issues associated With this project are
'
discussed below:
lb,ef; 5b,c,f; 4a: Constrtiction of the ?,-mile access road, recent
harvesting of timber on-site, and disturbance --of the drainage course
near, Forbestown Road have caused soil disruption, exposing, soil
sedimentation hazards from increased runoff
surfaces to erosion and
from the site.o piture deVelopment of four homesites in this 'region
Of high annual rainfall will further increa3e erosion potential.
This factor is particularly important considering the location of
this site upstream from ponderosa ReserVoar, a 'domestic water supply.
The site and drainage course require stabilization of the soil surfaces
and sedimentation potential resulting From Vegetation

The Department of Fish and Gamy: (pFG) has reviewed the Robert and
141a Crowe Amended Tentative Parcel Map (AT°PM), a proposal to
change the homesite location from within 200 feet to within 500
feet of Mallory Lane. Located near Forbestovin'the ATPM is an.
existing parcel within an approved subdivision The existing
200 -foot setback was impos,A by Butte County as a suadivisiol

-VEG does not object to t'he ATPM. The setback revision to 500

This is a concern which has to be resolved on an areawide basis,
but each individual project has an incremental impact on this
resource, This particular site is surrounded on three sides by

At a minimum, redesign of the parcel ma to foam larger

on wildlife habitat (since deer avoid residences)
8b: Residential use of the property, particularly at the proposed

14, 15a, 8a. Due to the isolated, remote nature of this area,
its m nidal public service availability (fire, police, schcyols

domestic water avaalabili.ty and the increased fuel consuAn120n

wear Mr. Mol.car i
M she Department of rish'an6 Game has reviewed the Sebco, Inc.
" tentative parcel map which proposes to split 24 acres into four
parcels near Eorbestown,
This site lies within 'a migratory corridor of the Mooretown
Deex Herd. It also provides habitat for bird species of special
c6ncern such as Cooper's and sharp -shinned hawks, spotted. and
lung -eared owls. To mitigate the cumulative impacts upon wildlife
habitat in the area caused by development; we recommend that the
following be required as conditions o;: approvals
1. Cluster home sites closer together as indicated on the
attached map (indicated in red).
2• perimeter fencing should be limited to three or four-st'zand
barbed wire to allow free movement of wildlife. Barrier
fencing (i.e., hogwire, board, or corral type) should be
used as perimeter fence to enclose only the immediate yard
or garden areas.
