It is unclear if the tails of the trusses have been checked as part of the truss design. It is important to include this into the design of the trusses and check for moment failure at the top plate bearing point.. , 24. Amend the skylight notes on sheet 7 to clarify the skylight design shall include snow loading in addition to dead and live loading. 25. It is not clear if these trusses have been checked for unbalanced loading as well as impact loading for when the upper roof unloads the snow to the lower roof. 26. The engineer of record shall review and approve the conceptual design of the trusses to verify they are in conformance with the design of the main structure. 27. Amend the plans to indicate the minimum header sizes based on the maximum span allowed. Reference this to the roof framing plans. 28. Amend beam 4 girder calculation to include the weight of the interior wall support directly over this beam. 29. Amend beam 5 girder calculation to include the stair framing load, if not supported by the closet wall beneath. If the stair framing is supported by the closet, provide a detail . showing this or indicate it on the plans or amend the calculations to increase the beam loading by the 100 psf required for exits. 30. Provide the computer input and output printouts for the beam calculations. If a computer was not used, then provide the hand calculations showing the thought process from FBD to shear and moment loads to beam sizing. 31. Amend the framing plans to show the size and location of all support posts. 32. Amend the roof framing plans for the garage, the headers are shown incorrectly. The sizes for Beams #11 and #12 are swapped. 33. Review the truss calculations and compare reactions to the beam designs. The truss reactions are higher than those calculated by the engineer and the design for the beams may change. 34.
