Our elevation measurements with our rod and level show his pad to be 0.81 of a foot higher than the lowest spot in the centerline of Monte Vista. I talked with Carl Hughes, 2460 Monte Vista. He has lived there 12 years. He told me he has never seen the area of Mr. Herrera's pad flood. I talked to Carlton Hall, 2452 Monte Vista. He has lived there since 1949. He re -iterated Mr. Hughes comments. In almost 4.0 years he has not seen this area flood. I talked to Penny Petee, 2464 Monte Vista. She has lived there since 1981. She also stated "no flooding" in this area since she has been there. All three of these people praised Mr. Herrera's clean-up of the area and the cleaning out of the creek. The area to the.east is lower than Mr. Herrera's pad. It is my professional opinion after "shooting grades" in the area and talking to the residents that Mr. Herrera's pad is not in danger of flooding.
