Dear Mrs. Russell:
On December 15, 1986, an inspection was made of'the above listed
dwelling. The inspection was made as part of the rehabilitation
project currently underway in the E1 Medio area south of Oroville.
The dwelling is a one story, wood frame structure, with wood and stucco
siding and a composition roof. The roof exhibits severe deterioration
to shingles, edge sheathing and facia. There is a concrete perimeter
foundation. There is evidence of water damage to bathroom floor and
its covering. There is minor tile damage to counter tops in kitchen.
Ceiling is damaged in kitchen. .•The house is served by community sewer
and water, natural gas and electricity.
The water• heater located in the garage needs a properly sized "drain
pipe on the temperature -pressure relief valve. The door penetrating
the garage fire wall is not solid core'and lacks a door closer.
In order to rehabilitate these dwellings under this program the
following will be required:
1. Complete all repairs as listed,in work writeup dated November -24,
1986.
2. Provide properly sized drain pipe on temperature -pressure' relief
valve.
3. Provide solid core door and self-closing device on door. between
ctaraae and dining room.

Most of the items listed will require permits and inspections by the
Butte County Department of Public Works. Permits may be obtained at 7
County Center Drive, Oroville, CA -95965.
All repairs, reconstruction, replacement.or patching shall be completed
to the extent necessary to result in a finished product. • This may
require -tile, shingles,.- wallboard, paints, vents ,or whatever is
necessary to -accomplish the desired finished product.

-Exterior
-sig roof material. Inspect roof deck. for
MF—Erage material. Replace any damaged roof_ deck
materials. Install new 151b. felt and new 3 tab, self
sealing asphalt shingles. Replace roof jacks and flashing
where necessary. Install new gutter and downspout system.
Construct cover for foundation access entrance.
Replace any damaged foundation vents.
Interior
$A.ove tub, toilet and vanity from bathroom in order to
remove old floor covering and subfloor. Inspect floor
joists and floor support system in area. Replaced any
damaged framing material. When floor is up, inspect all
drain pipes, water lines, traps and all plumbing fixtures
for leaks. Make any necessary repairs. Install new
subfloor and floor covering (owner's choice of pattern and
color).
Also, remove tile from around tub. Inspect dry wall
and framing for water damage. Make any repairs necessary.
Reinstall tub and install new 3 -piece fiberglass tub -
surrounding unit with tempered sliding glass door.
Reinstall toilet and vanity. Paint bathroom with mildew
resistant enamel (owners's choice of�color).
B. 7n kitchen, remove and replace cabinet system under
under sink. Also replace floor cabinets to the right of the
dishwasher (approx. 6'411). Replace with standard or better
wood cabinets.
Replace entire tile counter top (approx. 9,5") with new
formica counter top (owner,s choice of color). vertical
tile backing against wall over counter top is in
satisfactory condition and may remain.
When cabinet is out, inspect floor and wall water
damage. Make any repairs necessary. Existing floor
covering shall remain.
Repair tile around range top.
Repair holes in sheetrock of kitchen ceiling
