I was helping Richard Nixon at the counter check the status of a permit for Janie Henry. I told her that we were waiting on the balance of fees, school fees and sanitation clearance. She became very upset and said that she had been given her school fees form at application and she had gone to the school district and "paid" her fees and returned our copy to us. I told her that with a square footage of 384 square feet she is exempt from "paying" fees. She then stated that it was taken care of. She then became even more upset stating that if that was all that was holding up her permit, then it was our fault. I told her that we were still waiting on the sanitation clearance. She then said she was never told of this process. She became very irate and hollered that she wouldn't deal with this now, and she would return Monday. I tried to explain the process of the sanitation clearance, but she would have nothing to do with it! I also told her that it was marked on the data sheet, that she signed, and that she was to be given a white copy of that exact form at the time of the application. She then threw tossed the forms towards me and stormed out.
