Butte County until February of 1962. Prior to that date, no permits, inspections or approvals were necessary on those buildings, except for sewage disposal requirements of the Butte County Health Department. County tax records show that the original three bedroom - one bath residence was constructed in 1947. However, the Building Division has no records for the above mentioned. parcel. This would indicate that the original building was constructed legally, prior to permit requirements. Any additions, remodels, or other construction work which have occurred after 1962 were done without benefit of permits or inspections and are in violation.
