With reference to the above subject, our records indicate that your Building Permit
expired-on'th6 above date.'
Building permits are valid for one year and should
construction be started but not completed by the expiration date of the permit, the
permit shall be renewed for 1/2 the original Building Permit Fee (plus a $10.00
"Filing Fee"). The renewal permit will extend the Building Permit for an additional
year from the original expiration date.
Should you not renew your permit in a timely manner, it cannot be renewed and all
work must cease until a new building permit is issued.
If your construction is completed or should you have any questions concerning this
matter, please contact the Oroville office.
For your convenience, we are enclosing a renewal application form and an owner -

Dear i` -'r. and Mrs. Gilchrist:
On November 19, 1980 I visited the above identified property and determined
the illegal mobileho,r!e had been removed and. the substandard dwelling -vacated.
The structure was posted as unsafe for occupancy due to the following Condit-
ions which are in violation of the California Housing Law, and ;which shall be
corrected prior- to any person occupying the structure,. _
1. There is hazardous electrical wiring, fixtures, receptables existing in the
dwelling including numerous open splices and lack of ground.
If The dwelling is in poor repair with inadequate -weatherproofing including :.
broken doors and windows, deteriorated roof covering and siding.
3. The -dwelling does not have a safe and adequate, heating facility and the
flue is in poor repair and hazardous:.
it. The house plumbing is improperly installed and of unapproved materials.
5. The septic tank is open with an improper cover, and unapproved leach lines
and materials, with waste water running onto theground surface.
6. The electric hot water heater is improperly installed with open, splices,
improper piping,: and is in an`•area exposed to rainfall.
7. The dwelling has structural deficiencies including supports, foundations,
and room sizes.

This department has received a complaint concerning trailers and a shack on
property at the above listed location. The complaint alleges that,a mobilehome :..,
has recently been moved onto the.property and set-up for use as a second dwell-
ing unit on the property. A review of the Butte County Assessor's records indicate
you are the owner of the property.
On August 13, and August 19, 1980, I visited the property, and on the 19th con-
tacted persons on the property who indicated they had moved the trailer on the
site, and were using it and a shack as a dwelling. They indicated they were not
aware permits were required for installing a mobile home and none were obtained.
They further stated you had given them permission to place the mobilehome on your
property.
Please be. advised by this letter that existing zoning on your property is AR
(Agricultural -Residential) and mobilehomes are not permitted. Therefore the
mobile cannot be legally set-up and occupied on your property, and shall be
removed.
Furthermore the existing house would be the only dwelling permitted. on the property
without a use permit.approved by the Planning Department.
The existing house also appears to be substandard. There are no records for parmits
for any construction on the property.
