These requirements are minimums and may be superseded by Butte County local regulations, which equal or exceed these standards. Butte County Building Inspectors will make compliance inspections. Driveway Standards [X] Surface. All driveway surfaces and structures (bridges, culverts and other appurtenant structures which supplement the roadway bed or shoulders) shall provided unobstructed access to conventional drive vehicles, including sedans and fire apparatus weighing up to 40,000 pounds. He applied for electric upgrade. During pre inspection we found 3 dwellings. Scott brought in assessor records showing main house, guest house (342 sq ft) built before 1962 (around 1957). Third house was built in 1966 as storage shed which at the time did not require permits. It was converted sometime after to living unit illegally. Due to new state reg's on AR zones started in July 2003, 2 dwellings are allowed legally without use permit but no more than 2. Scott was told he can keep 2 original dwellings but must remove bathroom and any kitchen facilities from 3rd dwelling to change back to storage. He also will be allowed to add living space to 2nd dwelling which is his intent. He has applied for demo permit for small storage shed and to remove bathroom and kitchen from 3rd dwelling.
