The Board of Superviso?: of the County of Butte, State of Cali-
forma, does ordain as follows:
Section 16 of said Ordinance No. 475 is deleted in its entirety

void in the event of the occupant's non-compliance
with any of the pr6vitiolls of this section«
16.3 Where hardship can be shown by the property owner in
meeting the standards of this ordinance, o�^where conditions,exist

AN ORDINANCE AM.B'NDING ORDINANCE'475
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte, do ordain as
follows::
Ordinance No. 475 is hereby amended as follows:
1. Section 12 is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 12.. NON -CONFORMING -USES, Any uses of property in use
at the time of enactment of a zoning ordinance,. and which use is in
conflict with.the zoning ordinance so enacted, may becontinued subject
to the: followingregulations..
(a) No non. -conforming use shall he enlarged with-
out first securing a use permit.
2. Section 13.4: ;a amended to read as follows::
The findings of the Planning Commission shall be that the main-
tenance or operation of the use applied for will or will not be
consistent with. Section. 2 of this ordinance and, wi=ll or will not impair
the integrity and character of the zone in which: it Ties.
3. Section 13.5 is amended to read as follows::

only when, because of special circumstances applicable to the property,
including size, shape:, topography,; location or surroundings, the strict
application: of the zoning ordinance deprives such property of privileges
enjoyed by other property in the vicinity and under identical zoning'
classification:,,
A:ny'variance granted shall be subject to sucb:conditions as
will assure t'aat the adjustment thereby authorized shall. not constitute
a grant of special privileges: inconsistent with. the limitations upon
other properties 3.n the vicinity and zone in which such property is
situated.
5. Section 16.:4 is hereby added -to said ordinance..:'hndshall
read as follows:
