The rest of our area is residential with homes on Igts and small acreage. Mr. Lawson explained the actions of the Planning Commission it this matter. The Planning Commission recommended approval of this rezoning.. There was a joint study made with the Chico Planning Comaission and it was the recommendation, following the study, that the reze.ing should be approved. Mr. Tawson stated that the Vistec and Schultz properties are included within this rezoning. The interim, zoning excludes the Vistec and Schultz propertyso. The rezoning would not affect the existing uses in the area. A Tetter from the Chico Planning, Commission was read and discussed, Hearing opened to the public at this time. Appearing in opposition: l Mr. Robert Blade, attorney at lac- appearig.;; on b aha l f of Vistec. It was their feeling that the use permit issued to them exempted th,m from the zoning. They now learn that they are not exempt= They have beer, working; on the conditions placed on the uv: permit. They tried' to be annr--xed to the City of Chico and hook --n to the City sewers, This request. was rejected. They applied to the State Water Control Board to put in their awn sanitary system. It appears that Their application is 'receiving favorable consideration. They request that Vistec be excluded from this zoning,. 2,.., Mr. Wayne Weddell, architect for Vistec,, gave the bacRground of the development. They are proceeding at full speed to comply with the requirements. He stated, that Vistec has invested over $1-25,000 on this project and: they would not like to lvi�ise ?:t_ He said the company would like to receive their building permit-befora C'Liristmas.. 3. Wm. Snultz, Oak. Park. Ave., Chico. He requestedd that he be exempt from this zoning. He said this zoning made no provision for his development,. He has been refused by the City of Chica to be annexed or to be; allowed tc hook up to their sewer system. Mr., lawson explained why VJzstec and Dr. Schultz's property had been included within chis zoning. Chairman.Reynolds said he cQuld see nq buffer zoning in= this area. 4 Dan Pellecotti, Oroville. He said he was in sympathy with the Vistec property. He said; he represents construction and he feels that this is a good project and will give a lot of :cork- to people in the area.. 5. Mrs. Ernest Albrecht, Yankee Hill 6.. Herb Heidinger,, Oroville.: He owns property on Dayton Road, He feels that this zoning. is unfair, if the County is going to rezone this property they should also rezone the Diamond International property. The condition that the development be hooked up to a sewage system was acceptable to the applicant. Hearing opened to the public. It was felt that the extension of this road would be the best choice for the County.
