The Butte County Board of Supervisors on Yebruary 8 asked the Planning Commission
to address the subject of ;land divisions being processed or processed in tile past
and their effect on county '.roads that do not really provide satisfactory access
for residential development, The Sw'ede's Flat and Hurlton-Swede's Flat are examples
mentioned by the Board.
The Board reaffirmed its policy of not spending capital outlay money to improve
these roads or to upgrade their maintenance beyond the minimum levels satisfactory
in the past.
1 believe the Board would like a recommendation since the County is often asked to
rr9rove these existing county roads for satisfactory access, schoolbus and fire
protection, yet the County's resources do not provide the answers to the questions
being asked„
