Bettye Blair, planning director, set out the background of the rezone. The Planning Commission recommended that AP 44-33-18, 2091 Burnap, be zoned "R-3" instead of "R-11' zL:ling. Earl Nelson, environmental review dJx(ector, set out the background of the EIR at this time, There are concerns relating to continuing urbanizav46n of the area. There are about 300 acres out; of 465 a2res that are developed. There are 165 acres still remaining to be developed. The potential would be a total of 2,600 new residences. Because of the restrictions for sewer requirements the expected increase in density is about 600 to 650 new residences. There are 1.,050 existing and 1,700 expected, The main concerns Ore traffic clrct:lation, increase inti drainage and the other impacts are detailed in, the EIR. Chairman Lemke advised that the Board had redeiyed a letter' from Bruce Hotlie and 8ugene and Edith 1iaines regarding the rezone, Rearing open to the public. Appea.,''ng 1.
