1n January, 1975, the California Highway Commission � re§o1G^tion of intent
to rescind the freeway route adoptioi!t of State Route g9 in Butte County from 5.6'
miles north of Chico to the Tehama county Line. The rescission of the route was
deferred in dune of 1975 pending an ana7ysi s of the Department's financial
tuation
The California Transportation Cammission is again considering the !possibility of
rescinding this freeway. Should the route adoption ultimately bel rescinded, we.
will commence the disposal of the properties outlined on the enclosed maps at,
soon a`s possible after the Commission's roscissio'i actfon. In accordance with
theprovisions of Section 54220 through 54227 of the Government Code avid Section
11.8.6 of the Streets and Highways Code, please notify us within 60 days if your
agency would be interested
in
purchasing one or Moi -lo of the properties of market
value for park, open space; recreat4 oval low or modeea;te income housing, or.
other purposes_.
