REFERENCE Proposal to Dispose of Real Property
Rio Bonito School Site
The district is apprised that by order of its Resolution
76-12, the Butte County Board of Supervisors has designated
the Public Wori:s Department as its agent and directed all
public agencies to submit to that agent any proposal to dispose
of real property for the ensuing year prior to March 1.
On August :4, 1978 the governor signed into law AB 64
which provides sites which have previously been used for
school purposes but not within the immediately past five
years are subject to a non-use fee effective January 1, 1979,
Our Rio Bonito site falls witthin this category, and the Board
of Trustees has ordered its disposal
It has been suggested that when a deed to this property
,is found, it will contain a stipulation that when it no longer
serves a school purpose and the district elects its disposal,
ownership reverts back to the previous owner=s or their heirs.
This is to inform you that the district has ordered an
independent appraisal and record search to confirm the above.
It is our understanding that such disposal must first be approved

you please advise us as to any
other requirements of your office.
