The public hearing on the Butte County Planning Commission amend-
meet to Chapter 24 of the Butte County Code to add Section 24.201. Day Cure
facilities was held as advi2rtised.
Bettye Blair, planning director, set out the background on the
amendment. It is for more than six children in a home. It is the Planning
Comaission's recommendation they be subgtect to a use permit for no more
than 12, otherwise it mouldrohibi.t them.
P It is putting: the county code
in compliance with the state code. They should check with Day Care Providers
to determine how often they are audited or Visited by the state. Her office
would investigate on a complaint basis.

Ms. Blair stated the Day Care Providers Were considered as single
family use. There were concerns in the "A-2" zones.
Supervisor Wheeler stated she had experience with cq,nplaints in
the north Chico areai, One was there

She has difficulty with them in single family areas. There is the impact
I' of traffic flow and noise, Senior citizens complain of the noises from the
children playing. There should be some measure of control;

carried, Ordinance 2202 amending Chapter 24 of the Butte County 'Code to
