the greenl.ine is an appropriate General Plan policy and that similar
growth boundaries adopted. by ordinance Have beena part of a compre-
hensive growth management program. In addition, such an ordinance

issue back to the General Plan - Chico Area Land Use Plan.

Attached is a oopy of the Supplemental 'EIR to the Chico Area Land Use Plan,
Comments received and Responses prepared by the Planning; Department.
Comments were received from two agencies Caltrans and the City of Chico.
At this time the letter containing oomments from Caltraas has not been
z�eceived by the Planning Department although thesubstance of these
bpmments was. transmitted by phone. In general these comments point to and

proposed land use recommendation in gouth Chico. The Planning Commission,
