SECURITY OFFICERS DO? We have two officers who, combined, work 70 hours a week in ten hour shifts. There is also one relief officer who fills in when needed, Our shifts begin: at the Village where we check for messages; confer with, management, prepare our logs .for that day's work. Unless there is an activity at the Village to prohibit it, we leave to begin the requested vacated house checks (commonly referred to as vacation checks). WHAT DO YOUR DUTIESINCLUDE? The following are a few of our principle duties: 1. We are responsible for locking and setting alarm systems of POA buildings and maintaining security of the POA facilities. 2. Unless otherwise involved in specific security duties, we patrol the POA streets and properties, observe and report to-1�,roper authorities any unlawful acts and suspicious circumstances. 3 We conduct. security checks, cks; on vacated properties when Y p p � REQUESTED to do sob POA members. Q Y 4. We, observe and report to the POA Manager any violations of the CC&R's. 5• If other, assignments allow, we monitor Sheriff's Office and. local fire station calls and respond to calls involving POA members. 6. We check the campground for proper registration and en- force campground rules. 7. We maintain a daily security log of activities for the POA. records. WHAT CANT OUR POA SECURITY OFFICERS DO? The most important fact to keep in mind here is that we do NOT „ have the power of a police officer. For you to believe we provide. authorized law enforcement is FALSE security. We have no more authorative power than a citizen, however, on POA pry" private property our power is extended somewhat.
