Lillie Marie Green - Rezone & Zoning Complaint dated 11/13/81 DATE -1 December 3, 1981 Mrs. Green. has been collecting petition signatures in order to complete a rezoning petition. She is requesting an "RT -1" Zone for her neighborhood. She has obtained signatlares of the owners of the shaded properties. The property owners who signed the petition do not represent the required 60% of the land area as required by Butte County Code Section 24-26. Mrs. Green has stated two objectives to be accomplished by the rezone; upgrading of the quality of the neighborhood in general by eliminating the diverse uses allowed in the "A -R" and 11A-2 Ltd." zones, and a more immediate concern. the elimination of the junk and garbage fed hog raising operation Located immediately west of her property. The junit yard is operating under a valid use permit granted in 1971 and the zoning investigator has determined. that hogs have been raised on the property since 1970. Within approximately 1/4 mile of Mrs. Green's property are 5 different zoning designations, The majority ofwhich were changed to "AR -MH" to allow mobile homes; the remainder to commercial designations. The diverse nature of the existing zoning in the area indicates that the area be studied for rezoning with the number of zones being reduced and consolidated and the commercial zones either eliminated, reduced or redefined along property lines, It is suggested that only the areas presently zoned "A-2 Ltd." and "HV he corisiAered for rezoning since neither zone conforms to the existing General Plan for this area.
