Dear Mr. Castleberry'
As you are aware, this company has maintained a bridge at Station #743
over the Western Canal southwest of Nelsons since about 1920. Recently
some 1'epa r work was done by our Western Canal personnel because of its
deteriorated condition.
Since the bridge is no longer necessary to our operations, we do not
wish to expend the large sum of money required to bring this bridge up
to standards.
We hereby request that the necessary
action be initiated to abandon the
bridge on the Richvale-Nelson road over Western Canal approximately 0.3.
miles north of Nelson--Shippe Road.
