An electrical, substation is located at the southern edge of the r,south portion' of theI'oothill proposed ` Park resident ial subdivision. Potential Impacts No significant 'problem should occur with connecting the proposed industrial park to electricity aadgas l,i;nes. An energy analysis cannot be done at this time since 'uses' on site are notL pt , dustrial uses generally require large amounts' ofenergyand gas' mains and electrical lines may need to be enlaxg ed: 15. PG&E must have sufficient lead time in order to extend and upgrade th,Yir service lines if needed. All utility easements must be provided by the developer, Telephone Pacific Telephone Company provides telephone service to the Chico area and maintains pole -lines along Cohasset Road.; Potential Impacts Although the existing pole lines along Cohasset Road may need to be reinforced in order to serve this project, no sig- nificant problems are expected. Re:aired Mit tigation 16, The Pacific Telephone Company must have sufficient 1(:>ad time in order to upgrade service lines along 00hasset Road if needed; ,J Sewer The project site lies withix, the boundaries' of the North- eat t Chico Sewer Assessment District (NCSAD) which was formed, to a major sewer trunk line from a point near the project sitefinance Chico sewage treatment plant on River Road. Any dib-, charges into the sewer system will need to be in accordance with the regulations of the Butte County Health. Department and the Regional Water quality Cantral Board. Potential impacts This project; by itself,, would not cause a signifI cant impact on the Chico sewage treatment plant or the N08Ab. it world, however, contribute to the continuing decrease in ex- cess capacity oi' the: treatment plant due to the-Increas'ng Population growth in; Chico. Water Water for the project site would 'be provided by the California Vater Service Company which. maintains water mains Cohasset along Road northerly to about Raton Road, Potential Impacts The most recent area-Wide e study "Evaluation of the Ground- water Resources in Sacramento 'Valley'! was published' in 1978 by the bepartrhont of Water Reso'Llrees in cooperation With the U.8, Geologic Survey. Groundwater piimpage in 1070 was approx- imately 60,400 annual acre feet for a Four township area that includes Chico. The Tuscan Formation in the 400-000 foot zone contain.d approximately 650,000 acre feet while total groundwater storage for the same area exceeds i, 850,.000, acre feet. Av4,rage daily use in the Chico urban area is approxi- mately 14 million gallons per day (ingd) or about 16,000 annual acre feet, according to 00he Grant, local manager for California Water Service Company. Peak daily use is 38' mgd or, appraxitnately 117 acre feet A project the size of the proposed industrial park could use substantial amounts of water especially if several or more industries have high water dbn8t.iffipti6h operations, ,$e_ cause the dXA6t type of i,ndustria uses are not known .t this tame there s no wa 5 y to determine the amount of water that -4 3.~ r will be required. however, underground water discharges ■ tha, ough the Chico fan and monoGl.ine have been rapid and ade- quate enough, even during droug ht years, to maintain relatively constant water levelsill wells in spite of area rowth an d an adequate supply of water, is available for this project ` and others proposed in the Chico area, rRequired Miti EtLIis 17: The developer 'Will weed to provide the California Yater Service Company with well. sites, _ the, location- and num- bar of new well sites will need: to be dotermined by the water company, Solid Waste Each industry or business would need to,contract a pr3.= vate hauler ,dor removal of solid wastes which Would be e transported to the County, landfill site located on Neal n _.
