The; urban area is divided into subbasins based on the master plan culvert
XJrban subbas' s vwere defined based on the .receiving water, the existing pipe netr�+ork, the
proposed network, and land uses. Because this is aplanning-level model, subbasins were`
defined to be large areas deseribed''by typical runoff coefficients. Twenty subbasins`wexe
used t,o describe the urban area (Figure 2).
Each subbasin is characterized by average parameters that represent ground cover,
drainage pipes, drainage channeIs, and percentage of impeim. area. These parameters
represent ayerago conditions tlZat, would influence the rainfallJinoff process of the
subbasin. They do not represent a specific condition at a specific location. The master plan
should be consulted for information on individual pipes.
