Oroville/Butte Co K:\Planning\Forms\DISTR.wpd AFFIDAVIT OF RELATIONSHIP FOR A TEMPORARY MOBILE HOME The Board of Supervisors has found that for the health, safety, and welfare of the people of the County that it has often become necessary for the care of persons who by reason of old age, disease (either mental or physical), infirmity or other cause, are unable, unassisted, to properly manage and take care of themselves, or would benefit from familial assistance to allow mobile homes to be placed on smaller parcels than present County Codes or Ordinances permit, so that such persons will not have to be institutionalist, but rather can reside near their close relatives who can help care for them. The ability to care for one's close relatives will not only result in better care for citizens, but will also negate in many situations the necessity for public assistance which many citizens find degrading and damaging to the pride of the persons concerned and their immediate relatives. This will also provide privacy and dignity for the relative as well as independence, of which these people are deserving.
