The study area is approximately 20 square railes surrounding
the town site of Bangor, with Bangor centored approximately
one (1) mflo from the southern boundary.
An unofficial count oto single-family dwel l inug shows approxi-
mately 150 houses and approximately 40 mobile homes There may
be several more which were in rather, unaccc:s:;ibl'e areas and
were constructed after aerial photos wO,e taken in September
of 1975.
Census ;.data places approximately 50Q people i i this area.

We-, have- also discovered T hat Lthere. are numerous Williamson Act
contracts in the general area for° Property used for cattle
grazing. $ believe Mr. Smith's survey and the fact that there
are riumerous"4Vll l iamson Act agreements in the area for cattle
graxings substantiate the obvious when you drive through the
area.
The 'majority of the area is undeveloped and used for seasonal
grazing. That which is not used in the agricultural capacity
for seasonal grazing has been subdivided via sequential parcel ind
t and used for ,very low-density rural residential uses
The Arnold "property where the ,manufacturing use has been established,
as Mr. Smith states, is approximately ,i. to 4 mile$)yfrom the
Bangor townsite itself, which co"uld hardly be considered by any
pl`ann ,ng. standards to have a 'planninq radius of that distance,
It appears that the Arnold site is an obvious isolated non-
conforming use in the area,
