An additional object of this review is to ensure that a Tentative Map contains sufficient 'information to allow. He stated that it is your option to withdraw your application. at any time, but the County could as a,result start code enforcement actions against you for violation of building and/or zoning codes. However, he stated that the County could hold off code enforcement if you commence annexation proceedings with the City of Chico, and that the City verify this to the satisfaction of the County. Sincerely, Stephen Betts Assistant Planner • MEMORANDUM TO: Bill Farrel, Director of Development Services FROM: Steve Betts, Assistant Planner 5A, SUBJECT: Minor Use Permit for Rami Pillai DATE: September 3, 1996 SUMMARY: • DISCUSSION: Mr. Rami Pillai dropped off the attached letter today. He submitted an application for a Minor Use Permit (File MUP 97-01) for a permanent second dwelling unit. The permanent second dwelling unit is an already existing unit, which was converted from a garage to a mother-in-law unit in 1970 without the proper permits. Mr. Pillai is proposing to annex the project parcel, and other surrounding parcels, to the City of Chico. After annexing, he intends to do a subdivision map. The project parcel will be split as would the existing house and existing second dwelling unit. Mr. Pillai is requesting that his Minor Use Permit application be withdrawn and that the existing second dwelling unit be allowed to continue its use during the time it takes to get the annexation to Chico completed. I believe his request to continue the use of the existing second dwelling unit without a Minor Use Permit will need your approval.
