Fuqua, rep;resonting the Leage of Women V'oters,commented in, support of local pollution controls and public education program to further inform citizens of the area. Carl W. WRight, 796 Connors questioned why leaf burning could not be continued as always without having to listen to the City of Chico: it was explained that the problem l*es in the fact that thearaty does not Permit burning and complaints have arisen --particularly In areas where streets are city boundaries ,The recommended Alternatives to burning were noted. E. LuBaughn, 6 Montclair Drive, Chico, pointed out that the question of debris burning yncludes more than leaves --that it is a year-round proble-ii; that all C. ibris cannot be put in 2 cans a week that, it is expensive ,or an inuividual to take debris to the dump and that home burning is insignificant compared to agricultural burning.
