Light, Superintendent, Thermalito Union School District: Located Between Sierra Ave. And Nevada Ave., and between 11th and 12th Streets, in the Thermalito area of Oroville. RELATED ITEMS: None FOR: Planning Commission Meeting November 30, 1995. ABSTRACT: This is a report for the abandonment of a portion of an alley in Corona Terrace Subdivision. The easement will remain to be utilized as a private road. State law requires that the Planning Commission find that the abandonment will not be in conflict with the General Plan. Staff recommends approval of this request. ANALYSIS: A portion of this alley has been previously abandoned and the alley can no longer be used for through traffic. This abandonment will not affect legal access to any parcel nor is the alley need for traffic circulation. This public road easement is not needed for any County Public Works projects. According to California Government Code Section 65402, the abandonment of property must be in conformance with the General Plan. This request is in conformance with the Butte County General Plan and will not conflict any adopted or proposed element of the General Plan. ENVIRONMENTAL DOCUMENTATION: This project has been determined by the Secretary of Resources to be Categorically Exempt under the California Environmental Quality Act Section 15305(d).
