CBC 1604.2 40. Provide a footing detail for the interaction between the house and the garage. CBC 1603.1 PC2. Response noted. However, detail 7/10, as referenced between the house and garage on the Foundation Plan on sheet 3, appears erroneous. The floor joists appear to be parallel to the continuous footing at that location. Please review the floor girder and floor joist orientation as it appears that detail references for detail7/10 as well as details 3/3, 6/8, and 8/10 all show girder of floor joists with the, wrong orientation. CBC 1603.1 NEW STRUCTURAL COMMENTS: Based on the changes to the roof and foundation design, the following comments are now relevant: 41. Based on the information from the previous submittal, the 2x6 members @16" o.c. shown at the popouts on sheet 8 appear to be the ceiling joists. Please clarify this and provide the roof rafter sizes as well, as the roof in these areas are not framed by trusses. CBC 1603.1 & 1604.2 42. Provide a detail at the connection of the rafters over the popouts to the building.. CBC 1603.1 43. The truss review statement of the cover of the structural calculations cites a truss package dated 3%16. The date on the truss layout sheet submitted is 3/10/16, but the trusses themselves are dated 4/1/16. Please confirm if this is the package reviewed. If not, please review the truss package and revise the truss review statement to reflect as such, and the trusses are found to be acceptable with regard to geometry and load conditions, etc. with no exceptions. CBC 107.3.4.2 44. The engineer of record shall amend the roof framing plan to indicate the location of the new FAU unit used for this project. The location and weight of the FAU unit shall be provided to the premanufactured roof truss engineer so that the premanufactured roof truss calculations can be revised, if needed, to include the additional weight and configuration for access to this unit. CBC 1604.2 45. Truss AOIS is mislabeled as AIOS on the truss layout. Please review and revise. CBC 1603.1 46. The pre -manufactured truss engineer shall review the location of truss GTI, as the truss layout shows more than one truss GTI. However, it appears that'there is only one location that configuration fits together- between trusses AO1S and AO1SA. Please review and revise. CBC 1604.2 & 1604.9 47. Review the internal bearing point for truss AOG. The truss is a gable truss, but shows an additional internal bearing point. The specific point of support appears to be at a header, not a post, on sheet 8. Please review and revise as needed. 48. The pre -manufactured truss engineer shall revise the truss layout sheet to show the shear panels SP -A, SP -P, and SP -P2. CBC 1604.9 49. The engineer of record shall show the shear panels on sheet 8 of the plans as designed in the truss calculation package. Based on the information from the previous submittal, the 2x6 members @16" o.c. shown at the popouts on sheet 8 appear to be the ceiling joists. Please clarify this and provide the roof rafter sizes as well, as the roof in these areas are not framed by trusses. CBC 1603.1 & 1604.2 42. The truss review statement of the cover of the structural calculations cites a truss package dated 3/16. The date on the truss layout sheet submitted is 3/10/16, but the trusses themselves are dated 4/1/16. Please confirm if this is the package reviewed. If not, please review the truss package and revise the truss review statement to reflect as such, and the trusses are found to be acceptable with regard to geometry and load conditions, etc. with no exceptions.
