Dear Honorable Supervisors:
It has been requested by the Chairman of the Butte County Airport Land Use
Commission (ALUC),•Mr. Don Wallrich,`that I make you aware of my desires
pertaining to the expiration of my term as a Supervisor -appointed ALUC Com
missioner.
During the last four years, I have appreciated the opportunity to serve the
County and my community as an ALUC Commissioner. I feel fortunate to have
participated in the development of the 2000 Butte County Airport Land Use
Plan which will help shape planning around the airports of Butte County for
years to come. Should you desire, I would be happy to serve another term
as an ALUC Commissioner. That term would begin in May when my current term
expires.
Regardless of my reappointment or the appointment of a new Commissioner, I
would ask the Board to make a decision by the May ALUC meeting (5/15/02) or
soon thereafter so that the business of ALUC may continue uninterrupted and
with a full commission.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for allowing me•.to serve as
an ALUC Commissioner for the last four years.
Respectfully yours,
Norm Rosene

On April 4; 2002, the California Transportation Commission (CTC) adopted the
2002 Aeronautics Program, a list -of" 59 aviation :projects that can be funded in the next ,
three years. These projects are very similar to • those in the 2002 Proposed Program for
Aeronautics that we sent to you in January. The list is enclosed. The enclosure also
shows the annual amount for matching'federal grants.
If your airport has a project in fiscal year 02/03, you will receive additional instructions
•from us in a few weeks. If your airport has a project in a later fiscal year. and you would
like to begin construction sooner, please contact us: Also, if more than one project has
been programmed for your airport, lwe will consider requests to combine those"projects into
a single allocation/grant. However, we cannot exceed the $500,000 annual limit for an
individual airport.
If you have any question, please contact Mike Farmer at (916) 654-5174 or Gwyn Reese
at (916) 654-4718.

Pursuant to Public Resource Code 21676
Dear Ms. Sherman:
• On Wednesday, March 20, 2002, the Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC) found the

With this adoption, the Commission also acknowledges the City of Oroville as the first
among the four jurisdictions in Butte County with public airports to actively respond to
the community's need to promote compatibility between airport activities and
surrounding land uses.
Thank you again for your diligent effort to achieve this Consistency Analysis.
