EN PHASE. TECHNICAL BRIEF
Compliance of the Enphase AC Combiner
Background
The Enphase AC Combiner with Enu7y-S consolidates interconnection equipment into a single enclosure and
streamlines PV installations by providing a consistent, pre -wired solution fcr residential applications. The AC
Combiner is a UL Listed product that is intended both for.indoor and outdoor installations. The intent of this document
is to demonstrate the compliance of the Enphase AC Combiner and avoid unnecessary inspection and alterations to
a UL Listed product.
UL Listed
The AC Combiner is marked with a LP Listed sticker on the inside of the erclosure to identify it as such. The UL
Certificate of Compliance is available for download on the Support section of Enphase.com:

NEC Compliance
The term Listed is defined under Article 100 of the NEC:
Listed. Equipment, materials, or services included in a list published by an organization that is acceptable to the
authority having jurisdiction and concEmed'with evaluation or p bducts-and services; thaVmaintains periodic- ,
inspection of production of listed equipment or materials or periodic evaluation services, and whose listing states that
either the equipment, material, or service meets appropriate designated sta idards or has been tested and found
suitable for a specified purpose.
If the contents or individual components of the AC Combiner are questionea, Enphase urges the Authority Having
Jurisdiction to reference Article 90.7.
NEC Article 90.7— Examination of Equipment for Safety
It is the intent of this Code that factory ;nstalled internal wiring or the constru tion of equipment need not be inspected
at the time of installation of the equipment, except to detect alterations or damage, if the equipment has been listed
by a qualified electrical testing laboratcry that is recognized as having the fad ilities described in the preceding
paragraph and that requires suitably for installation in accordance with this Code.
Conclusion
This document along with the UL Listed marking on the AC Combiner and U _ Certificate of Compliance should be
adequate to demonstrate the compliane of the Enphase AC Combiner. Should any further questions arise, please
