Product
Photovoltaic Racking System -
Brand name
ProSolar
The product covered by this listing report is a rack mounting system. It is designed to be -
installed cin a roof. It will be secured by means of Fast Jack, or TileTrac attachments, ;
depending on the type of roof it is intended to be installed upon. The Rooftrac mounting system
is comprised of support rails and top-down clamping hardware -This device can be used•on
most standard construction residential roof -tops. ,
This system is in compliance with the mounting, bonding and grounding portions of UL Subject
2703. This system has the following fire class resistance_ratings:
Class A for Steep Slope Applications when using Type 1 or Type 2, Listed Photovoltaic
Modules. Class A for Steep Slope Applications when using Type 2, Listed Photovoltaic Modules
with or without the wind skirt. -Class A for Low Slope Applications when using Type 1, Listed'
Photovoltaic Modules when a minimum of 12" gap between the roof surface and the bottom of
the module is maintained. Class A for Low Slope Applications when using Type 2, Listed
Photovoltaic Modules when a minimum of 14" gap between the roof surface and the bottom of
the module is maintained. i
RoofTrac has different types of bonding and grounding, below is a list of them: -
Bonding of module -to -Roof Trac rail via Weeb PMC ,
Description
Bonding of module-to-RoofTrac rail via ProSolar rail channel nut using buss bars
Bonding of module -to -Roof Trac rail via Ilsco SGB -4 lugs .
Bonding of Roof Trac rail -to -Roof Trac rail via Weeb Bonding Jumper -6.7
Bonding of Roof Trac rail -to -Roof Trac rail via llsco SGB -4 Lugs.
Bonding of RoofTrac rail-to-RoofTrac rail via ProSolar UL 467 tested universal splice kit (Splice
Insert and Splice Support)
Issuance of this report is based on testing to PV module frames with a height of 1 1/4 inch to 2
inches t
The grounding of therentire system is intended to be in accordance with the latest edition of the
National Electrical Code, including NEC 250: Grounding and Bonding, and NEC 690: Solar
Photovoltaic Systems. Any local electrical codes must be adhered in addition to the
national electrical codes. -
This product investigation was. performed only with respect to specific properties, a limited

The WEEB Lug consists of a WEEB (Washer, Electrical Equipment Bond), lay -in lug, and hardware. It is
used with one solid or stranded copper wire (6AWG to 14AWG), or two copper wires (10AWG to 12AWG)
to provide a continuous ground on roof or ground mounted solar systems. Unlike traditional lay -in lugs,
the WEEB Lug does not require surface preparation on rail or module to install. The WEEB Lug. is
,installed using a 1/4-20 stainless steel screw which tightens the WEEB, allowing the specialized teeth to ,
embed into anodized aluminum, galvanized steel, or any electrically conductive metal to establish a gas
tight electrical connection. The tin-plated Lug assures minimum contact resistance and protection against
corrosion. The copper wire is clamped by a 1/4-28 stainless steel screw, which is horizontal to the tang for
easy access when mounted under a PV module. The low profile of the WEEB Lug allows it to be installed
in a variety of positions and comes with hardware to mount it to a rail or through a 1/4 inch clearance hole.
' Material: 304 stainless steel, tin-plated copper, outdoor rated
• Low profile design

' Theur ose of this report is t vi
p p p opro de a site specific analysis of the minimum footing
requirements for the photovoltaic array. groundtrac installation at Stanford Ranch
in Durham, CA 95938.
Based upon; our review of the 7 Photovoltaic Arrays, installed 4 modules high and .9:
modules wide. The PV Array shall have a transverse spacing of approximately 5.58 feet
•
on center and a longitudinal spacing of 8.12 feet maximum. Based upon.a.wind speed
of 100 mph: Exposure C, it was determined that the minimum required footing depth. is.
30 inches minimum below grade for the front footing and .36 inches minimum below
grade for the rear footing for a 12 inch diameter pier footing. The footing sizes are
' based upon:the worst: case loading due to horizontal 'and vertical wind loading.
Refer to attached calculations and details for additional information.
