LOCATED WITHIN 10'-0" OF THE METER PER LOCAL ELECTRICAL UTILITY REGULATIONS.
17. PHOTOVOLTAIC SOURCE CURRENTS MUST BERATED AT BOTH 125% OF THE PARALLEL
MODULE AND AT A CONTINUOUS LOAD OF ANOTHER 125% FOR A TOTAL OF 156% OF THE
LOAD.
18. PROVIDE PERMANENT PLAQUE OR DIRECTORY PROVIDING THE LOCATION OF THE SERVICE
DISCONNECTING MEANS AND THE PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM DISCONNECT MEANS IF THEY ARE
NOT IN THE SAME LOCATION PER 2014 NEC ART.690.56.
19. INSTALLATION OF PV PANEL ARRAYS SHOULD RESIST SLIDING AND POP-UP RESULTING FROM
SEISMIC EVENTS AND SHOULD COMPLY WITH CBC SECTION 1613A AND ASCE STANDARD 7 -OS,
CHAPTER 13.
20. PV SYSTEM INSTALLER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF ALL
RELATED EQUIPMENT, CABLES, ADDITIONAL CONDUITS, BOXES WIREWAYS AND OTHER

To Whom it May Concern,
In order to meet future advanced grid requirements, SunPower® is transitioning from Type C AC modules to Type D• AC
modules. The purpose of this letter is todemonstrate the mechanical and electrical equivalency of Type C AC modules
and Type D AC modules. -Type D AC modules are drop-in replacements for Type CAC modules and are available at the .
same DC and AC power levels. Type D AC rriodules have the same form, fit, and function as Type C AC modules. The AC
electrical output specifications of Type C'AC modules and Type D AC;modules are equivalent, ensuririg interchangeability
for AC conductors, overcurrent protection devices, and grounding.-,'
SunPower Type D AC modules are certified per UL 1741 SA to the following SRDs: IEEE 1547, IEEE 1547a, and CPUC Rule
21 Phase 1'. These additional certifications and fur'ctionality enable Type D AC modules to meet California CPUC Rule 21 -
Phase 1 smart inverter requirements. The following table lists_ the Type'C AC'modul_e models and their respective,Type D
equivalents, as of the`date_ of this letter:

Installation Instructions with Compression Bracket
3 4a 4b 4c
1. Locate the rafters and snap horizontal and vertical lines to mark the installation position for
each GreenFasten flashing.
2. Drill a pilot hole (1/4"diameter) for the lag bolt. Backfill with sealant. EcoFasten Solar
recommends an EPDM mastic.
3. Insert the flashing so the top part is under the next row of shingles and pushed far enough
up slope to prevent water infiltration through vertical joint in shingles. The leading edge of
flashing must butt against upper row of nails to prevent turning when tourqued. See page
2.2 for vertical adjustment when leading edge of flashing hits nails in upper shingle courses.
4. Line up pilot hole with GreenFasten flashing hole.
4a Insert the lag bolt through the EPDM washer, the top compression component bracket (L-
102-3, L-102-6*, SCL-101-3*, Z-101 *, Conduit Mount Bracket*) and the gasketed hole in the
flashing and into the rafter.
4b Insert the lag bolt through the EPDM washer, the Comp Mount Slide compression
bracket and the gasketed hole in the flashing and into the rafter.
4c Insert the lag bolt through the SS washer, the third -party bracket, the EPDM bonded
washer, the CP -SQ -Slotted compression bracket and the gasketed hole in the flashing
and into the rafter.
5. Torque:The range is between 100-140 torque inch -pounds depending on the type of wood
and time of year. The visual indicator for proper torque is when the EPDM on the underside
of the bonded washer begins to push out the sides as the washer compresses. If using an
impact wrench to install the fasteners be careful not to over torque_ the fastener. You may
need to stop and use'a ratchet to finish the install.

Declaration of Installation
for Smoke Alarms and Carbon Monoxide Alarms
The newly adopted 2013 California .Residential Code requires the installation of Carbon
Monoxide Detectors in dwelling units and in sleeping units within which fuel -burning appliances
are installed and in dwelling units. that have attached garages. The policy for Carbon Monoxide
Alarms in Butte County states: "Any permit obtained in which the value of work exceeds $1000
associated with a Residential Group R Dwelling Unit or Sleeping Unit shall conform to the.
following 2013 California Residential Code requirements for Smoke and Carbon Monoxide
Alarms (Section R314 & R315)."
2013 California Residential Code requirements for Carbon Monoxide Alarms:_
8315.1 New construction: An approved carbon monoxide alarm shall be installed in dwelling
units and in sleeping units within which fuel -burning appliances are installed and in dwelling
units that have attached garages.
R315.1.2 Power supply: For new construction required carbon monoxide alarms shall. receive
their primary power from the building wiring where such wiring is served from a commercial
source and shall be equipped with a battery back-up. Alarm wiring shall be directly connected to
the permanent building wiring without a disconnecting switch other than as required for over= .
current protection.
Exceptions: !
L In dwelling units where there is no commercial power supply the carbon monoxide alarm may, be solely
battery operated.
2. In existing dwelling units a carbon monoxide alarm is permitted to be solely battery operated where
repairs or alterations do not result in the removal of wall and ceiling finishes
