Standard Pool Structural Plan
Dear Mr. Hunt:
By this notice Pool. Engineering, Inca and the undersigned engineer=of-record
shall hereby grant Perfection Pools and Spas, Inc. a limited non-exclusive and
non -transferable allowance to utilize Pool. Engineering, Inc. Standard Pool
structural Plan for the permitting and construction of the swimming pool project at
the Stover residence 14014 Caribbean Way, Chico, CA.
Modification or reuse'of the construction drawings without the express written
permission of the Engineer is prohibited.

Residential Pool Requirements:
Applicable Codes:
A. 2016 Calif. Building Code.
B. 2016 Calif. Residential Code
C. 2016 Calif. Mechanical Code.
D. 2016 Calif. Plumbing Code.
E. 2016 Calif Electrical Code.
F. 2016 California Energy Code. (2016 Building Energy Efficiency Standards)
2. Provide at least 2 circulation drains per pump that shall.be.hydraulically balanced, and are separated by a
distance of at least 3 feet in any dimension between drains. Suction outlets that are less than 12" across shall
be covered with anti -entrapment grates. CBC Section 3109.4.4.8 (Butte County Form DBP -66 to be
completed and signed prior to final inspection)
Pool barrier shall comply with CBC Section 3109. The pool barrier shall incorporate the following:
A. Access gates through the barrier shall open outward away from the pool and shall be self-closing and
have a self -latching device placed no lower than 60" above ground..
B. The residence doors providing direct access to the pool shall be equipped with an alarm that produces an
audible warning when the door is open.
C. The barrier shall be not less than 60 above grade measured on the side that faces away from the pool.
4. All 15 amp and 20 amp, single phase, 125 volt receptacles located within 20' of the inside walls of a pool
shall be GFCI.
5. Outlets supplying pool pump motors connected to single-phase, rated 15 or 20 amps shall be GFCI.
6. Equipotential bonding shall be installed as indicated in CEC Article 680.26.
7. Note that installation of smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms is required prior to final inspection.
All pool and spa heating systems or equipment must be certified by the Energy Commission that the system
or equipment complies with Section 110.4 and 1 ] 0.5.
A. Minimum heating efficacy according to Appliance Efficacy Regulations;
B. An on-off switch outside the heater;
C. Permanent and weatherproof operating instructions; `
D. No electric resistance heating, except:
i. listed package units with fully insulated enclosures, and with tight -fitting covers, insulated at least R-6.
ii. Pool or spa getting 60 percent or more of their annual heating from site solar energy or recovered
energy
E. Pool and spa heaters may not have a continuously burning pilot lights;
F. Outdoor pools and spas with gas or electric heaters shall have a cover installed. The cover should be fitted
and installed -during final inspection. - - - -
