GROUND.
THE BUILDING WILL BE A PRE -MANUFACTURED METAL BUILDING SYSTEM STRUCTURE
WITH A SERIES OF LOADING DOCKS ON ONE SIDE OF THE BUILDING AND VEHICULAR
ACCESS INTO THE BUILDING AT SEVERAL PLACES ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE
BUILDING. AN ACCESSORY OFFICE IS TO BE HOUSED WITHIN THE BUILDING. THE
BUILDING WILL BE ENTIRELY NON-COMBUSTIBLE CONSTRUCTION (TYPE IIA) WITH A
FULLY AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEM THRU-OUT.
THE SITE INCLUDES THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW DRIVEWAY ENTRANCE ONTO THE
PUBLIC ROADWAY BOOK FARM ROAD. A PUBLIC AND EMPLOYEE PARKING WILL BE
PROVIDED SEPARATE FROM THE FULLY FENCED AND GATED BUILDING AND TRUCK
DOCKING AREAS. PROJECT STORM DRAINAGE IS DETAINED IN TWO PONDS TO
MITIGATE PEAK FLOWS PRIOR TO RESUMING ITS NATURAL DRAINAGE PATHS.
PROJECT WATER WILL BE PROVIDED THROUGH THE INSTALLATION OF A PUBLIC WELL
(NON -TRANSIENT NON -COMMUNITY SYSTEM). WASTEWATER IS DISPOSED OF USING A
PRESSURE DOSED LEACH FIELD WITH PRE-TREATMENT. FIRE WATER FOR BUILDING
SPRINKLERS WILL BE STORED ONSITE IN A DESIGNATED ABOVE GROUND TANK WITH

The geotechnical report (Revised Geotechnical Engineering Report for Proposed Federal Express
Distribution Center, dated March 26, 2015, Project No. 70497-03) is an integral part of this plan set and
shall be on the job site at all times during foundation preparation and construction. The Contractor shall
review the report prior to commencing construction and any discrepancies between the plans and the
report shall be brought to the attention of NorthStar Engineering immediately. It is the sole responsibility
of the Contractor to ensure that all construction is in compliance with the report.
PREMANUFACTURED METAL BUILDINGS:
The premanufactured metal building calculation package dated 03-16-15 by Nucor Building Systems Group is
an integral part of this plan set. The use of any other metal building calculation package, including revised sets
by the same manufacturer but dated later than noted above, may pose different spans, supports or loading
conditions than those which the building has been designed for. Such discrepancies may compromise the
