Contemplated uses are quasi -public, fire control and medical ambulance service. (Enloe Hospital will inaugurate service in August, 1985.) The nearby pond and lake are of interest to CDF for fire suppression, and they have had their fire fighters camp in our meadows in the past. Enloe Hospital estimates 5 -minute liftoff and 10 minutes flying time for ambulance service, with advanced life-support equipment, 24-hour staffing with pilots, mobile intensive -care nurse and mobile -intensive -care paramedic. `(As you can see by the map, service will be even faster from -Paradise Hospital if they ever get similar equip- ments, as they are.only four airline miles away.) Betty Kirchner and'Dave Hironymous have suggested we get your approval before proceeding with the Use Permit process. Will you please advise us as to the acceptability of this site from your standpoint. There is no school within 1000 feet,nor are.there any obstructions that would be hazardous. Status Report - Ranchaero Airport Land Use Plan Commissioner.Montgomery reported that there had been no activity. during the past :month.. 4. Review -.and Comment Don Deter Tentative Parcel•Map Dave Hironimus described the location of the proposed project in relation to Patrick.Airport, adding that the Commission might wish to propose a no -development strip off.the ends.of the runway... Don Deter stated that he owns the airport as well as the land proposed to be.split. He said he was not concerned about protecting the airport. Itis used..perhaps once a week at present. Acting Chairman Larido:asked if the zoning was A=2; Dave Hironimus said yes; Mr. Deter said itis now "U" per Board of Supervisors' action. Commissioner Schrader said he had problems with the temporary sites :it's too close to residences,:and."p'ilots_like a clean approach."
