Box 3420 Chico, CA 95927 Re: Heliport at Enloe Hospital To the Commissioners: At its meeting of April 15, 1985, the Butte County Airport Land Use Commission found no objections to the proposed project or to the granting of a Use Permit increasing operations to thirty (30) per month. Commissioner Feiler pointed out that there is a difference between privately owned and operated airports.that are for private use only, and a privately owned airport that's for public use.. If an airport is open to the general public, and the County and other agencies want to impose their will on the development of that airport, there should be some accountability'on the party of the County or the higher government agencies to respond. The intensity of'use is going to be increased, which will require a Use Permit, and the City of Chico is asking for comments. The request is to allow 30 stops per month. Commissioner Lando stated it has allegedly been b.stops per month although the .neighbors say-it'is more. This will be operated not.b.y.Enloe but by somebody else; also, the neighbors prefer the helicopter to an ambulance. This Commission will send a letter to the City of Chico stating it has .no objections to the granting of the'Use.Permit. Meeting_Sched��le Chairman Behunin ast�bd if the Commissioners felt meeting once a month. was too often. Commissioner.Hunter stated that we need to be patient and let things take time.to happen, knowing that the process moves slowly at times. Commissioner Lambert noted that a monthly meeting schedule allows projects to be brought before the Commission to be...:. heard. Commissioner.Feiler stated that this Commission has an obligation in that regard. The.general consensus is that a monthly meeting schedule should be.maintained.
