Hello Mr and Mrs Galloway:
You are correct. Some of my staff and I did have a meeting with John Scott (an individual who has acted to
represent interests in Butte Valley) and several other interested persons regarding Ms Kriz's concept for a
Healing Center on Messilla Valley Road that has gathered some attention in the media. As we explained to the
group we met with, to my knowledge, this is only a concept. We have explained all that would be necessary to
allow such a use on the property. We have NOT received any actual application to do anything on the
property in question. If we do, there will be a lengthy public process that would provide a forum for all parties
to express their concerns or support for this. In my estimation, given our process and the requirements to
have such a project reviewed under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), this could take a year or
more...more is likely. We have purposely made it difficult to change the designation of Ag lands in our County
via restrictions placed in our General Plan and Zoning Ordinance. Hopefully, this answers your questions. If
not, feel free to reply to this email. Take care, Tim

Dear Mr. Snellings,
Recently it was brought to our attention about a meeting conducted by Butte County Department of Development
Services concerning Ms. Alexandra Kriz possible purchase of acreage below Mountain Oaks Estates above Dry Creek and
Messilla Valley Road, in Bute Valley for a large community of rehabilitated persons. We live in Mountain Oaks Estates
and find this very alarming due to our concern to keep the environment free and AG zoned. My question is directed to
the concerns we have about the large community that is planned and if there is a way to not have this happen. We
barely escaped the Camp Fire Burn November 8th, 2018 and we do not want to see the existing wildlife and farms below
disturbed by any action of Ms. Alexandra Kriz or other future prospects involving this AG Zoned area. We want a safe
and quality of life environment and since we moved to our residence in 1998, we planned to remain during retirement in
this location and signed an acknowledgement this is a AG Zoned area.
Thank you for your time and a reply is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Kathy & Larry Galloway
