On February 25th we conducted a fire and life safety inspection at the church and school. Over
all the inspection went well. We found a few items that need to be addressed see items listed below.
Sound room
• Missing switch cover plate
• Open sheet rock to the right of the sound board
Gym
• South Eastern double doors need to open independently of one another. Currently you need to
open the right before the left.
Kitchen
• Remove the door stop on the door that leads to the gym. This is a fire rated door and
automatically closes in order to prevent travel of fire.
• Move any stored materials from in front of an electrical panel. You should maintain 36" of
clearance in front of all electrical panels.
Room # 15
• Remove the extension cord to the overhead projector
Room #2
• Fix the opening in the sheet rock around the HVAC ducting.
• The east exit door doesn't open freely
Library
• The exit Tight on the east door needs a new battery
Music Room Office
• Broken switch cover plate
Youth Pastors Office
• Missing switch plate cover
Room #10
• Extension into a power strip needs to be removed
Exit signs in all class rooms CFC Sec.1011.3 &1011.6.3
• Exit signs shall be internally or externally illuminated at all times; signs shall be connected to an
emergency power system that provides illumination for not Tess than 90 minutes in case of
primary power loss.
o Note externally illuminated signs are good for 10 years and should bear a stamp with
the date.
