Dear Richard,
This letter is to serve as record of our phone conversation on Friday, August 17. We discussed your tentative subdivision map and underground plan in regards to fire hydrant system design,
fire hydrant locations, inspections and acceptance testing. I noted on your plan that you provided a lateral for future expansion to the hydrant system, and recommended that you consult
with a certified design professional to ensure that the hydrant system would meet expected and future needs.
Once work has commenced, we will perform an inspection of thrust blocking, and witness hydrostatic and acceptance testing, please contact me at the number below to schedule when you
are ready. The system must provide a fire flow of at least 500 gallons per minute to all hydrants in the system. Butte County Public Works may have other requirements for installation,
please contact them for specifics.
