Hi Mrs. Cruces,
I have reviewed the Building Clearance request for a Building Permit to construct a three bedroom home at the above address. Prior to Building Clearance approval, the following will
be required:
1) Provide verification of potable water. The well must be sampled for benzene, and also for coliform bacteria if the wellhead was damaged or opened due to fire damage. Information
on water sampling and analytical laboratories is available at
http://www.buttecounty.net/ph/Environmental-Health/DrinkingWater/WaterSampling
If you cannot sample the well at this time due to lack of power or other issue, sampling may be deferred until after building permit issuance. Please let us know if you need to do this.
Verification of potable water will then be required prior to building final approval.
2) Submit applications and obtain approval for a Construction Permit to install a replacement septic system. Normally this requires applications for a Site Evaluation and Construction
Permit, applications and other information is available at
http://www.buttecounty.net/ph/Environmental-Health/LandUse_Wastewater/WastewaterProgram .
I will check with field inspector Paul Thao to see if we have a Site Evaluation application as we discussed today; I did not see any pending wastewater applications in our Trakit data
management system.
You indicated the septic system will not be installed on the the uphill side of the home as shown on your site plan. A revised site plan should be submitted which shows the proposed
location of the replacement system.
Please note that I am an extra help employee; my regular work days are Wednesday and Thursday. If you need assistance when I am not in the office, please contact Darren Jones (552-3862)
or Yvette Castanon (552-3855).
Thanks,
