HomeMy WebLinkAbout00-001~•~ O~ 3 Up~,'~i~ ~~~~ ~~ rV' ~~ I~i ~iO• O i : ~ ~ ~~• a~; :~: ~; :*; .~ ~1 ~~4un^~~~ ~!~ ~''~ , oouN'~.••' BC~~RL1 QF ~:UPL~.~VIC~RS C4WtVTY QF E3t~TTE, STATE OF C~#LfF©RNiA ?~r s~~~titi~~n +v~~. oo-oi RF,SOLUT[ON OF INTENTION TO EXPAND THE POWERS OF COUNTY SERVICE AREA NO. 4 (SIERRA DEL ORO) TO INCLUDE STRF,ET LIGHTING ~~~1IERh:AS, the Board of~Supervisors ofthc County of Butte applied to the Butte County Local Agency Formation Commission to expand the powers of County Scr~-ice Area No. -~ to allo~a~ for the funding, installation, operation and maintcnancc of street lighting at specified intersections along the Sl:vway serving the 4,397 parcels located in County Service Area No. 4; and WHERF,AS, on December 2, 1999, the Local Agency Formation Commission (I.AFCo) passed and adopted Resolution No. 17 1999/00 approving the Expansion of Powers of County Service Area No. 4 (Sierra Dcl Oro); and WHEREAS, the proposal is Categorically Exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act, per Section 15301 (b), which exempts operation, maintcnancc and minor alterations of existing public structures and facilities involving negligible expansion is use related to electrical utilities. `I~he installation of street lights on existing utility poles or in existing utility right-uf=way is a negligible expansion of~the existing use; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board o1~Supervisors of~thc County of Butte, State of California, as follows: 1. The following type of service is proposed to be an additional extended scrvicc to be provided within said County Service Area No. 4: street lighting. 2. "I'he area within which such extended services would be provided is the cxistin~~ area of County scrvicc Area No. ~. 3. On February 22, ?000, at 10:30 a.m., a public hearing will be held on the proposed Expansion of Powers of County Service Area No. 4 (Sierra Dcl Oro). LAFCo File No. 99- 24. 4. The Clerk of the Board is authorised and directed to file a certified copy o1~ this resolution with the Executive Officer of the Butte County Local Agency formation CommlSSi011.
