TO BE LITILIZF.D AS A CANINE OFFICER
WHEREAS, Butte County adopts and recognizes a German Shepard dog named
Ryker. Said dog shall be used by the Butte County Sheriffs Office as a member of the
canine unit; and
WHEREAS, Deputy Sheriff ,lohn Muldown will be Ryker's handler and partner.
'The County will provide all food and medical care for Ryker; and
WHEREAS, Ryker shall reside with Deputy Muldown. He shall be deputized
upon completion of his training.
NOW, THEREFORF,, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors, on its
own behalf, and on behalf of the residents of the County of Butte, that said Board will
adopt Ryker as a canine officer for the Butte County Sheriff s Office.
PASSED AND ADOFTED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors on this
25th day of January 2000 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, Josiassen and Chair Dolan

NOT VOTING: None
