WHEREAS, the Northern California Council for the Arts was designated as the Arts
representation for Butte County in fiscal year 1998-99 and 1999-2000; and
WHEREAS, the deadline for applying for State funds was January 2l , 2000 and the
Northern California Council for the Arts has applied for funds on behalf of Butte County; and
WHEREAS, the California Council for the Arts informs Butte County that the Northern
California Council for the Arts is eligible to apply for funds if the County of Butte continues to
designate it as Butte County's Arts Council; and
WHEREAS, the Northern California Council for the Arts has shown the desire and
motivation to merit being granted the title of Butte County's Arts Council.
NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEll that the Butte County Board of Supervisors
does hereby designate the Northern California Arts Council as Butte County~s Arts Council for
f7scal year 2000-2001.
PASSED AND ADOP"TED by the Butte County Board of Supervisors this 14`f' day of
March 2000 by the following vote.
AYES: Supervisors Beeler, Houx, Josiassen, Davis and Chair Dolan
NOES: gone
ABSENT: None
NOT VOTING: None
