WHEREAS, Orcjinance t)81 establishes a proccdln-c for the creation ol~ underground
utility districts and requires as the initial step in such procedures the holding of a public hcarin~~
to ascertain tivhether public necessity, health, safety and welfare require the removal of poles.
overhead wires and lacilitics for supplyin~~ electric, communications, or similar or associated
services in anv such district: and
~'VHEREAS, it has been recommended that such an underground utility district,
hereinafter called District. be formed on East Avenue between Cohassett Road and Manr,anita
Avenue.

Notice is hereby given tl~lat a public hearing sill be held by the Board of Supervisors,
of the County of Butte, on April 2~, 2000, at the horn- of 1 1:00 a.m.. in the Board of~
Supervisors Room oi~ the Administration Building. Oroville, Calilornia to ascertain
~,vhethcr public necessity. health, safety or welfare require the removal of poles,
overhead ~~°ires. and facilities for supplying electric, communications_ or similar or
associated service in the District described above.
?. <<~t such hearing, all persons interested shall be given an opportunity to he heard. Said
heari~~~~ may be continued It-om time to time as may be determined by the Board of~
Supervisors.

equalised assessment roll and utilities concerned of the time and place of such
hearing by mailin~.~ a copy of this resolution to such property owners and utilities
concerned at Icast ten (10}days prior to the date.
